New Hampshire Sens. Judd Gregg and John Sununu say that five airports in the state have received a total of $2 million in funds from the Federal Aviation Administration for repair and construction projects.

The Bartlesville Municipal Airport received the 2007 Airport of the Year for Oklahoma by the Federal Aviation Administration. The award was presented at an annual regional airport partnership conference in Dallas for the FAA's five-state Southwest Region.

Pilgrim's Pride Corp. said Wednesday it will close a chicken- processing plant and six distribution centers -- and lay off 1,100 workers -- because of soaring feed costs and a glut of chicken.
