Bonnie Jean Gist Longaberger, the matriarch of the Longaberger basket-weaving company, has died in Ohio at the age of 100, the company announced. Chief Executive Officer Tami Longaberger wrote on the Longaberger Web site that the woman known affectionately as Grandma Bonnie had been the embodiment of the values behind the Ohio company. It amazed her that Longaberger baskets could be made with such love and care, and be cherished by so many from so far away.
