By Moira Sharkey THE first national teachers' strike in 21 years looks set to disrupt lessons in hundreds of schools in South Wales this week.

By Olivier Vergnault Hundreds of students will be told to stay at home as a result of a teachers' strike which will see dozens of schools and colleges close on Thursday.

COLLEGE lecturers have voted to strike on the same day as school teachers. Next week schools on Teesside will be disrupted when hundreds of teachers, who are members of the National Union of Teachers, go on strike over pay.
