A GROUP of leading business executives who like to bash out rock 'n' roll in their spare time are tuning up for a special concert to help flood victims in Morpeth.

A MUSIC promoter who was responsible for bringing some of the world's top bands to Wearside is to have his story turned into a multi-million pound movie.

CASH raised at The Geordie Proms will help local cancer sufferers. The Last Night of the Proms at Newcastle City Hall on Saturday was organised by the North East Promenaders Against Cancer. The profits will go to local support groups, hospices, hospitals and Cancer Research.
