Columbus rookie Steve Mason was one of three players selected as finalists for the Vezina Trophy given each year to the NHL's top goaltender. Mason, Boston's Tim Thomas and Minnesota's Niklas Backstrom, who had the best goals-against averages in the NHL this season, were named finalists for the award Monday.

After a pregame skirmish, the Anaheim Ducks beat the Minnesota Wild 4-1 Thursday night to wrap up their first-round playoff series in five games. The Ducks must await the outcome of other Western Conference series to find their next opponent.
