OWNERS of a North East vets group have taken on their old boss to help them focus on the future. Croft Vets based in Blyth, Ashington, Gosforth in Newcastle, Monkseaton, Walkerville in Newcastle, Cramlington and North Shields is continuing to expand.

STUDENTS got a tour of one of the North-East's biggest regeneration projects this week. Undergraduates from Newcastle University's School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences visited the pounds 200m scheme on the Smith's Dock site in North Shields to see first hand sustainable solutions at work.

A FREE bus service has been laid on by Nexus to carry passengers to this year's Victorian Christmas Market in North Shields. The London Routemaster bus will be in operation on Saturday and Sunday from 10.15am until 5pm.
