The UN nuclear watchdog and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) have reached an agreement on how the agency will monitor and verify shutdown of the country's main nuclear reactor, a top official said on Friday.

A U.N. official said Friday North Korea has been very cooperative with a U.N. delegation visiting to discuss the shutdown of its nuclear program.
