By David Ivanovich, Houston Chronicle Mar. 7--NEW YORK -- Houston oil trader David B. Chalmers' role in the United Nations' Oil-for-Food scandal has long been overshadowed by the actions of his more famous co-defendant, Oscar Wyatt.
Texas oil man Oscar Wyatt was sentenced Tuesday to a year in prison for paying kickbacks to Saddam Hussein to participate in an oil-for-food program in Iraq. Wyatt pleaded guilty last month to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
