Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro said he is working on a series of vampire novels with crime writer Chuck Hogan. Del Toro's movies include "Pan's Labyrinth,""Hellboy,""Mimic" and "The Devil's Backbone." He is also set to direct two films based on "The Hobbit" and other works by J.R.R. Tolkien.
