Dominik Hasek, who was one of the NHL's top goalies, is coming out of retirement to play for a team in the Czech Republic, where he began his career.

TechnoPark Pardubice (TP) (Pardubice, Czech Republic), technological park, started its operation in Sep 2008. Building of TP's modern buildings have cost more than CEK 400 mil, the EU has invested CEK 300 mil of this amount. It will take several years to fill the whole TP.

East Bohemian Airport (EBA) (Pardubice, Czech Republic), regional airport, cleared 93,659 passengers in 2007. The airport has a runway with a length of 2.5 km, one arrival terminal and two departure terminals. It serves also large passenger aeroplanes of the type Boeing 767 and Airbus 330/340.

Paramo, a 88.03% subsidiary of Unipetrol, has signed an extended agreement to provide diesel supplies to Czech Railways. The contract, worth approximately CZK8 billion, provides for regular diesel deliveries for the next three years.

Foxconn CZ (Pardubice, Czech Republic), computer manufacturer, was awarded the award Dynamic firm within the chart Czech Top 100 for 2007. Foxconn CZ exported goods worth CEK 88 bil in 2007.
