The decision lifted Real Madrid into the Peace Cup semifinals Friday against Juventus. Ronaldo, who recently joined Real Madrid in an eye-popping $137 million deal with Manchester United, broke a scoreless tie three minutes into the second half with a penalty shot after being tripped in the box. Two minutes later he drilled a shot from 25 yards that Quito goalkeeper Alexander Dominguez was able to save.
