SAN DIEGO, May 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) announced today that it has filed for regulatory approval of three new power-purchase contracts for a total of 450 megawatts (MW) of quick-start generation from peaker plants proposed for San Diego County.
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Siemens Energy has been awarded its first order for the supply of two SCC6-5000F Flex-Plant 10 combined cycle power islands. The order for the two power islands in El Segundo, California, comes from the U.S. power company NRG Energy.
