A BIRMINGHAM insurance company wants to use wind power to save cash and the environment at its base. Prudential Assurance Company, based at The Hub in Perry Barr, already has solar panels on the roof and has now applied to build a ten-metre, 1.8kw mast near to the security gatehouse of its offices.
PRIMARY teacher training courses at the University of Central England in Birmingham have been recognised by Government inspectors as amongst the best in the country. The Perry Barr-based university was awarded a "Grade 1: Outstanding" award following an inspection in the summer term.
