By The Akron Beacon Journal, Ohio Mar. 27--Hale Farm and Village will present a look at what life was like for escaped slaves on the Underground Railroad in 1852. Tours depart every 20 minutes from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday and again on Saturday.

By The Akron Beacon Journal, Ohio Mar. 13--Alcatraz will be in the weekend spotlight in the Cuyahoga Valley. Ranger Rich Weideman will present an in-depth look at Alcatraz, also known as The Rock and America's Devil Island. The 12-acre prison in San Francisco was called "Hellcatraz" by the media.
