Roscosmos, the Russian space agency, announced this past weekend that it is planning to send a manned mission to the moon by 2030, reports RIA Novosti.

Russian and European space officials on Friday agreed on a joint Mars mission to hunt for signs of life on the Red Planet, after NASA pulled the plug on its program, the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) said on April 6.

Roscosmos and the Cosmonauts Training Center are launching a campaign to select a new line of cosmonauts, training them for possible flights to the Moon within ten years.
