By LARRY NEILD Daily Post A VITAL pounds 7.6m project to create the first-ever direct link between Liverpool docks and the UK's main rail network, has moved a step closer.
THE Mersey Docks & Harbour Company (MDHC) replaced the Mersey Docks & Harbour Board after it had ceased trading. In 1858, the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board took over the running of the Liverpool Docks, England, from the Liverpool Dock Trustees, which formed in 1780.
