TV naturalist Professor David Bellamy has named a North Wales caravan park as one of the most environmentally-friendly in Britain. The Tree Tops Caravan Park near Prestatyn has been awarded the special accolade for the sixth year running, for its commitment to environmentally sound practices.

THE parents of a three-year-old girl who was killed when a wall collapsed on her have paid tribute to their 'special girl'. Meg Burgess died when a large breezeblock wall fell on her at Ffordd Penrhwylfa, Prestatyn, on Saturday.

THE MOTHER of a pupil who threw boiling water over a teacher must pay him pounds 100 in compensation. Last month the 15-year-old, who attended a special education unit in the Rhyl area, pleaded guilty to assaulting teacher Andrew Downey.
