Raul Ibanez drove in three runs Wednesday and Philadelphia won its third consecutive National League East pennant with a 10-3 decision over Houston. The Phillies actually clinched the division title just seconds before the end of their game when Atlanta fell to Florida and removed the last obstacle Philadelphia had in its path. Philadelphia players gathered along the first base line for celebratory hugs after the final out, then turned their attention to a possible second straight World Series title. The Phillies became the sixth team to wrap up a post-season berth, joining the Los Angeles Dodgers, St.

Raul Ibanez hit two home runs and the Philadelphia Phillies overcame a shaky ninth inning by Brad Lidge Tuesday to beat the Washington Nationals 5-3. The Phillies hit five solo home runs, including three in the seventh inning when Jayson Werth and Ibanez went back-to-back and Carlos Ruiz homered two batters later. Ibanez and Chase Utley each hit their 30th home runs and joined teammates Werth and Ryan Howard as the only Phillies foursome to hit 30 or more homers in a season.

Jamie Moyer retired the first 12 men he faced Thursday and teamed with two relievers on a one-hitter in carrying Philadelphia to a 4-0 win over Florida. The Phillies extended the longest current winning streak in the majors to six games and increased their lead over second-place Florida to five games in the National League East. The only hit surrendered by Moyer (9-6) was a leadoff single in the fifth by Jorge Cantu.

The Philadelphia Phillies put outfielder Raul Ibanez on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with a strained left groin. The team said on its Web site that the 37-year-old Ibanez had been given a day off last Sunday in part because of the groin injury and in part because of a sore left Achilles.

Raul Ibanez hit a two-out, three-run homer in the 10th inning Thursday, lifting the Philadelphia Phillies to a 6-3 victory over the New York Mets. The Phillies won twice in a three-game series and moved four games in front of the Mets at the top of the National League East. Philadelphia overcame a two-run deficit in the late innings and then came up with a big hit in the 10th. Bobby Parnell (2-2) retired the leadoff man in the 10th, but gave up a single to Shane Victorino and was replaced by Ken Takahashi.
