The Pro Football Hall of Fame has inducted six new members, two of them from the Buffalo Bills. Bruce Smith, an all-pro defensive end for the Bills, and the team's late owner, Ralph Wilson Jr., were inducted at a ceremony Saturday in Canton, Ohio. Pittsburgh defensive back Ron Woodson, who like Smith was eligible for the first time, also was inducted with linebacker Derrick Thomas, guard Randall McDaniel and Dallas wide receiver Bob Hayes. The 2009 class brings the total inducted to 253.

Bob Hayes, whose world-class sprinter's speed helped revolutionize his sport, will be among those inducted Saturday into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The induction ceremonies on the steps of the Hall of Fame will precede by one day the first of the 332 preseason, regular season and playoff games that will make up the 2009 National Football League campaign. Buffalo and Tennessee will play in the Hall of Fame Game Sunday.
