By Sharanjit Singh GEORGE TOWN: All RapidPenang buses were back on the road yesterday as drivers ended a strike that almost brought the public bus service on the island to a standstill on Tuesday.
GEORGE TOWN: A strike by some 70 RapidPenang bus drivers yesterday left thousands of passengers stranded. Disgruntled drivers gathered at the Sungai Nibong bus depot, but refused to drive despite repeated pleas from the management.
GEORGE TOWN: RapidPenang, which has been operating for less than a year, has transformed public bus services on the island with more than six million passengers using its service in the past five months.
GEORGE TOWN: The RapidPenang bus involved in an accident that killed a 20-year-old waiter last Sunday will be sent to Puspakom for inspection. The company's creative communication assistant manager Yap Lee Ying said the inspection would take about a week.
