Beginning with the February issue, Significance, a magazine about statistics and data in the real world, will publish six issues a year.

Potentially key fingerprint evidence is currently not being considered due to shortcomings in the way it is reported, according to a report published today in Significance, the magazine of the Royal Statistical Society and the American Statistical Association.

The American Statistical Association (ASA) and the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) announce the official launch of the Significance magazine web site, http://www.significancemagazine.org. The web site presents a statistical view of the world in an understandable, engaging format.
