Ryan Langerhans hit a two-run homer with two out in the 11th inning Friday, rallying Seattle to a 7-6 victory over Tampa Bay. The Mariners tied the game with a four-run seventh, but that comeback appeared to have been wasted when Tampa Bay scored in the top of the 11th on a one-out homer by Jason Bartlett. J.P.

Magglio Ordonez hit a grand slam homer in Detroit's five-run first inning Tuesday and the Tigers went on to a 9-7 win over the Seattle Mariners. Placido Polanco had a homer and two RBI, and Ryan Raburn also drove in two runs for the Tigers. Miguel Cabrera added three hits with a solo home run.

Jarrod Washburn pitched his first career one-hit shutout Monday in the Seattle Mariners' 5-0 win over Baltimore. Washburn (5-6) set down the first 11 batters he faced and went on to face just 28 batters -- one over the minimum.

Rob Johnson drove in two runs in the 11th inning with his third double of the game Friday, bringing the Seattle Mariners a 7-6 decision over Boston. Seattle overcame an early two-run deficit and took a two-run lead into the bottom of the eighth before Nick Green forged a 5-5 tie with a two-run double. The Mariners scored the decisive runs off Ramon Ramirez (5-3), who gave up a leadoff single to Franklin Gutierrez in the 11th and walked Ryan Langerhans. Chris Woodward moved the runners up with a sacrifice and Johnson doubled them both home.
