YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK. Oct 3 (Interfax) - Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) plans to launch production at the Kirinskoye gas field, which is part of the Sakhalin-3 project, in 2014, Viktor Timoshilov, head of the company's eastern projects coordination department, said at an oil and gas conference in Sakhalin.
The Sakhalin-II project led by Russian gas monopoly Gazprom and the Sakhalin Energy Investment Company, has received $5.3 billion in loan financing. The Japan Bank for International Co-operation acted as the major creditor by financing $3.7 billion.
