ACTOR, film-maker and funnyman James Harris pulled off a great result for Teesside at a famous Manchester comedy club. James, pictured, of Saltburn, saw off 11 other stand-up comics to win the weekly "Beat the Frog" new act night at the Frog and Bucket.
THE folk world descended on Saltburn over the weekend for the town's 11th international festival of music, dance and song. Folk fans enjoyed morris dancing displays, song-writing workshops and singing while youngsters were treated to Punch and Judy and story telling.
YOUNGSTERS had a taste of the Big Top when they enjoyed a circus- themed afternoon. The children from Rosedene Nursery in Saltburn, east Cleveland, were shown how to perform magic tricks and got the chance to dress up like a clown. The event was part of National Childcare Week.
