Two 3-pointers by J.J. Redick keyed an early run Thursday and the Orlando Magic coasted into the second round of the playoffs by blasting Philadelphia 114-89. Orlando eliminated Philadelphia in six games and will next meet the survivor of the riveting series between Chicago and Boston.

The NBA announced Wednesday Orlando center Dwight Howard has been suspended for the sixth game of his team's playoff series with Philadelphia. Howard elbowed Philadelphia center Samuel Dalembert in the head with 9:15 remaining in the first period of the fifth game of the series Tuesday.

Thaddeus Young established a career high in points scored for the second straight game Friday in leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 104-101 win over Chicago. It was the last NBA game ever to be played at the Spectrum. A block by Philadelphia's Samuel Dalembert on Derrick Rose with 22 seconds to play preserved the 76ers' one-point lead and led to Young scoring on a layup.

Thaddeus Young made 13-of-20 shots from the field and scored a career-high 29 points Wednesday, pushing Philadelphia past Toronto 115-106. Samuel Dalembert chipped in a season-best 19 points along with 13 rebounds, helping the 76ers win for just the fourth time in 11 games since the All-Star break. Philadelphia opened the second period of a tie game with a 9-2 run and put together a 14-2 surge later in the period to take control. Andrea Bargnani scored 21 for Toronto and Shawn Marion had 18.
