WICHITA, Kan., May 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. (NYSE: SPR) and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) announced the signing of a supply agreement whereby Spirit will supply spare parts for SAS' fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft.

Scandinavian Airlines System, an owner of several airlines in Europe, has reported that it has carried 2.3 million passengers in January, up 4.3% compared to the same period in 2007. Scandinavian Airlines has reported that the growth was strongest in airBaltic and Norway.
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will begin non-stop service between Copenhagen and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on October 31, the first service to Dubai from Scandinavia.
