Ricky Nolasco gave up only four hits in eight innings Monday and the Florida Marlins scored two runs in the eighth in a 4-2 win over Washington. Nolasco (5-6) got his third straight victory while allowing two runs with eight strikeouts and no walks. Hanley Ramirez, named National League Player of the Week Monday, was 3-for-4 with an RBI and Emilio Bonifacio and Cody Ross each had RBIs in the eighth. Scott Olsen, who played with the Marlins from 2005-2008, worked seven innings against his former teammates.

Washington Nationals left-hander Scott Olsen was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday because of shoulder tendinitis. The ailment flared up when he hurled five innings Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies. On the team's Web site, Manager Manny Acta said after the contest that Olsen had hurt his left shoulder and was still bothered by the left ankle problems he suffered last Sunday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The doctor gave him a shot, Acta said.

Dan Uggla hit a two-run homer in a five-run third inning Tuesday to lead the Florida Marlins to an 8-3 win over the Washington National. The Marlins got all of their runs in the first three innings.

JUPITER, Fla. - Lenny Harris, the career leader in pinch hits, was released from the Florida Marlins on Wednesday after being told he would not make the team. Reliever Kerry Ligtenberg also was released.
