UK-based oil and gas exploration company Serica Energy has appointed Peter Sadler as its COO. Mr Sadler comes to Serica with 30 years experience in international exploration and production with both major and independent oil companies.

Serica Energy, an oil and gas exploration and production company, has been awarded the East Seruway production sharing contract offshore north Sumatra, Indonesia. The East Seruway production sharing contract (PSC) covers approximately 5,864sqkm of the offshore North Sumatra Basin, Indonesia.

Serica Energy has signed an agreement with Hansa Hydrocarbons for Hansa to farm-in to Serica's UK licenses covering Block 48/16b and Block 48/17d in the southern North Sea. Completion is subject to the receipt of UK government consent. Serica currently has a 100% working interest in the licenses.

UK-based independent oil and gas firm Serica Energy has acquired an additional 25.5% working interest in the Kutai production sharing contract in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, from its partner, Ephindo Kutai.
