SCI FI Channel says Richard Dean Anderson, Christopher McDonald and Janelle Monae are to be guest stars on the new series SGU: Stargate Universe. Also slated to make appearances throughout the season are Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Gary Jones and Carlo Rota, the network said Wednesday.

Sci Fi Channel Wednesday confirmed Lou Diamond Phillips, Ming-Na, Elyse Levesque and Alaina Huffman have joined the cast of SGU: Stargate Universe. The new original series began production last week in Vancouver, British Columbia.
