According to a report by MSNBC, a new survey found the love of a four-legged friend eases the pressure of tests and homework for college students.

The Stephens College Davis Art Gallery will host Denise McGill's "Priceless Souls" photo exhibition, which includes an opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m. tomorrow at the gallery at the corner of Ripley and Walnut streets and a lecture at 8 p.m. Charters Lecture Hall, 1405 E. Broadway.

Now in its third year, the Stephens College Summer Film Institute returns Wednesday and runs for 12 days.The intensive workshop gives female filmmakers a chance to work alongside industry professionals. This year they will produce a commercial, a music video and a short feature film.

The fifth annual Stephens College Science Saturday will be a fun afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. of science-based magic tricks and experiments, including chemistry potions, optical illusions and magical creatures. The event, held at the Pillsbury Science Center, 1405 E.
