A shipping system problem forced a third of Netflix Inc customers to not receive their disk shipments on time.

E-commerce companies are rushing to catch the next wave in home entertainment: movie downloads. On Sept. 12, Apple (APPL) is expected to unveil a movie component to its iTunes store, which already dominates the music download market [see BusinessWeek.com, 6/21/06, "Apple's iTunes Movie Muddle"].
