Cal Clutterbuck put an end to a Phoenix comeback bid Tuesday and helped push Minnesota to a 6-3 victory over the Coyotes. Mikko Koivu scored just 34 seconds into the third period to give the Wild a seemingly comfortable 4-1 lead, but Olli Jokinen and Steve Reinprecht scored for Phoenix to make a game of it. Reinprecht's goal came with 13:10 to play, but Niklas Backstrom shut the door on the Coyotes and Clutterbuck restored a two-goal lead with 6:36 to play.

Steve Reinprecht produced the first two scores in a three-goal Phoenix third period Thursday, leading the Coyotes past Toronto 6-3. After losing six games in a row, the Coyotes have won four out of five. The game was deadlocked going into the final period, but Reinprecht tipped in a shot by Derek Morris 5:21 into the third for the game-winner.
