By Matt Weiser, The Sacramento Bee, Calif. Sep. 4--A surprising degree of consensus is emerging among longtime foes on a plan to protect the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, but battle lines remain visible on the most controversial puzzle piece: a peripheral canal.
The Department of Water Resources has scheduled a Public Information Meeting to discuss the Phase 1 (Risk Analysis) of the Delta Risk Management Strategy (DRMS) project. It will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, in Rio Vista.
