Recently, AT&T chose to move its corporate headquarters from San Antonio to Dallas. One of the primary reasons for this change was a lack of direct service from San Antonio's airport. Rhode Islanders should learn from this recent news item: Plentiful air service is important for business.
By Paul Edward Parker, The Providence Journal, R.I. Jul. 17--Passenger traffic at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick dropped 8 percent in June compared with the same month a year ago. Total passengers -- people getting on at Green plus people getting off there -- reached 420,324 last month.
