A PALLET rental specialist has secured a sweet new deal with one of the leading names in confectionery. IPP Logipal, based at Meriden Business Park, will deliver its Tangerine Confectionery products to supermarket retailers and convenience stores across the UK and Ireland.

CONFECTIONERY firm Tangerine has acquired Monkhill Confectionery - the makers of Butterkist popcorn and Barratt Sherbet Fountains. The company was acquired from Cadbury Schweppes for Pounds 58m and the cash deal creates one of Europe's biggest sugar confectionery businesses.

LIVERPOOL confectionery firm Tangerine has struck a deal to buy Yorkshire-based Monkhill Confectionery for pounds 58m in cash.

Tangerine, the Blackpool-based confectionery firm, has agreed to buy Monkhill Confectionery from Cadbury Schweppes for Pounds 58 million in cash. The deal is subject to completion in February.
