By George C. Ford, The Gazette, Cedar Rapids, Iowa Jul. 9--CEDAR RAPIDS -- A panel of airport directors that includes an Eastern Iowan today will meet in Washington to discuss the need for a national air service policy and a related national energy policy.
American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, has launched a non-stop service between the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and New York's LaGuardia Airport. American Eagle operates the round-trip service with its 37-seat Embraer ERJ-135 jets.
