DALLAS, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly five years after the death of her son Gordie Bailey from alcohol poisoning at the University of Colorado, the founder of The Gordie Foundation Leslie Lanahan has reached a settlement with the National Chi Psi Fraternity over the case.
Middlebury College will host two days of anti-hazing campus events, FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, on October 22 and 23, 2008, in conjunction with National GORDIEday and National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week.
"HAZE," a full-length documentary film examining the college drinking culture in America, including the 2004 death of college freshman Gordie Bailey following a fraternity hazing incident at the University of Colorado, will make its World Premiere at the 16th Annual Hamptons International Film Festival in East Hampton, New York.
Dr. Jonathan C. Gibralter, President of Frostburg State University, was honored today with a national award recognizing his success in promoting a vibrant intellectual and social campus climate that de-emphasizes the role of alcohol.
