News - The Police
NEW YORK, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sting, in partnership with global transmedia company @radical.media, has launched STING 25.
Police in Italy said a pair of con artists gave an 87-year-old woman half of her money back after swindling her for $400. Authorities said the duo, a man and a woman, convinced the elderly Florence woman that they were health ministry inspectors and demanded she pay a $400 surcharge on a new health card for prescriptions, ANSA reported Wednesday. However, police said the con artists cut the fee in half before taking the woman's money. They probably felt sorry for her and had a change of heart, a police source said.
STING has hit number one in the charts again - for penning the most misheard pop lyrics of all time. The 56-year old former frontman of The Police topped a poll with two tracks which confused fans.
Thirty years after their first American tour, one of the biggest bands in rock history, The Police will play their final show at Madison Square Garden in New York City on August 7.
