By S. Heather Duncan, The Macon Telegraph, Ga. Sep. 28--A state drought response committee is meeting today to decide whether to increase Georgia water restrictions, while some midstate communities already have adopted even tougher measures as their water supplies dwindle.

THOMASTON - The Maine Department of Transportation announced Friday work will begin to improve nearly two miles of U.S. Route 1 in Thomaston and Rockland on Monday, July 30. Provisions are in place to avoid interference with traffic bound for the Lobster Festival in Rockland Aug. 1- 5.
