Edwards -- who completed 21 of 31 passes for 230 yards -- threw a 32-yard scoring pass to Lee Evans early in the first quarter and Whitner struck 5 minutes later with the interception for a TD.
Ben Roethlisberger completed 15-of-19 passes for 168 yards Saturday to lead the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 17-0 pre-season win over Buffalo. Rashard Mendenhall added 48 yards and a touchdown on 16 rushes, Hines Ward had 74 yards on five receptions and James Farrior had a 22-yard interception returned
A 12-yard first-quarter scoring pass from Shaun Hill to Isaac Bruce Sunday sent the San Francisco 49ers on their way to a 10-3 victory over the Buffalo Bills. San Francisco (4-8) scored with 6:51 remaining in the quarter, added a 50-yard field goal by Joe Nedney in the second quarter and limited the Bills to a 22-yard third-quarter field goal by Rian Lindell. Hill completed 14-of-23 passes for 161 yards and Bruce ended up with five catches for 67 yards.
