Trevor Cahill and two relievers combined on a one-hitter Wednesday, bringing Oakland a 4-0 win over the slumping Texas Rangers. Cahill gave up a lead-off single to Marlon Byrd in the second inning and the Rangers managed only two base runners the rest of the way. Texas has lost four straight games and has been shut out in three of them.

Trevor Cahill and two relievers combined on a three-hitter Thursday and the Oakland A's handed the Los Angeles Angels a rare blanking 2-0. It was only the second time in the last three months -- and the fourth time this season -- the Angels had been shut out.

Jack Cust and Rajai Davis both homered Wednesday, carrying the Oakland Athletics to a 5-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The inter-league win went to Trevor Cahill (4-5), who gave up two unearned runs in 5 1/3 innings. Cahill allowed four hits and four walks while striking out three.
