ConAgra Foods, Inc. (NYSE:CAG), one of America's leading packaged food companies, today announced that it has completed the divestiture of its seafood businesses. The company closed the sale of its Louis Kemp surimi business to Trident Seafoods Corp.

Trident Seafoods Corp. said Tuesday it is buying the Minnesota-based surimi business of ConAgra Foods Inc. The value of the deal, which will close by April 1, was not disclosed. Surimi is minced, processed fish used to make imitation shellfish.
Trident Seafoods Corporation today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ConAgra Foods' Motley, MN-based surimi business that serves both retail and foodservice customers and includes the Louis Kemp brand. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
