A bridge named after the Irish minimalist playwright Samuel Beckett was moved into place this week in Dublin on the third attempt. Final installation is more than a week away, The Irish Times reported.
John Goodman and David Strathairn have signed on to co-star in a new Broadway production of Waiting for Godot, the Roundabout Theatre Company said. Goodman is an Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor best known for his roles in the TV sit-com Roseanne and in the movies Raising Arizona, Sea of Love, King Ralph, The Flintstones, The Big Lebowski, O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Speed Racer. Strathairn was nominated for an Oscar for his work in Good Night, And Good Luck.
Tony Award-winning actors Bill Irwin and Nathan Lane have signed on to star in the new Broadway production of Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot." To be directed by Tony Award-winner Anthony Page, the show is set to begin preview performances April 10 at Studio 54, with an opening night planned for April 30, the Roundabout Theatre Company announced.
