BELFAST - Waldo County Home Health & Hospice and Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County will host a free workshop on caring for and about those with Alzheimer's and dementia from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.

Recently, Waldo County's Sen. Carol Weston and Reps. Jayne Crosby Giles, John Piotti, Michael Thibodeau, Robert Walker and Lance Weddell voted with the majority of the Maine Legislature to approve LD 1658, An Act to Protect Pregnant Women and Children from Toxic Chemicals in the Home.
