MAKING the most of their last weekend, thousands of families ended the summer holidays at events across the North East. Visitors experienced all the fun of the first ever eco-friendly Green Gathering in Newcastle, which took place at Exhibition Park.

TWO green festivals take place in the North East this weekend. The Newcastle Green Gathering expects between 15,000 and 20,000 people at its event in Exhibition Park today between noon and 6pm and tomorrow noon-10pm.
