WASHINGTON, July 5, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NASA's Hubble Space Telescope crossed another milestone in its space odyssey of exploration and discovery.

The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has produced a close-up view of the galaxy Centaurus A.

To celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope's deployment into space, astronomers at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore pointed Hubble's eye at an especially photogenic pair of interacting galaxies called Arp 273.

The historic Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2, developed and built by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory for NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, left JPL Wednesday morning, Oct 13, for points east.
