By Nancy Sarnoff, Houston Chronicle Jun. 10--In the mid-1960s, developer Gerald Hines started two major real estate projects unlike anything he had ever done before: a 50-story skyscraper in downtown Houston for a major oil company and a multilevel indoor mall with an ice-skating rink in the middle.
