The Kansas City Royals, aided by a pair of Ryan Raburn errors, scored a run in the 10th inning Sunday and edged the Detroit Tigers 3-2. Josh Anderson led off the 10th with a single and David DeJesus got to first on an error by Raburn.

Willie Bloomquist drove in two runs and Alex Gordon hit a solo homer Thursday, pacing a 5-4 Kansas City win over the Minnesota Twins. Billy Butler added an RBI for the Royals, who handed the Twins their ninth defeat in 12 games. Gil Meche (5-9), in his first appearance since recently coming off the disabled list, got the win, allowing four runs and seven hits in five innings.

Billy Butler's two-run homer ignited a five-run first inning Thursday and the Kansas City Royals went on to defeat Seattle 8-2. The Royals ended a three-game losing streak, batting around in the first inning off Jason Vargas (3-6). David DeJesus walked on four pitches to open the first and was erased at second on a fielder's choice grounder by Willie Bloomquist.

John Buck's RBI single in the 11th inning Tuesday gave the Kansas City Royals a 4-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. Jamey Wright (1-3) earned the win with two perfect innings.

Mike Jacobs homered off Detroit reliever Fernando Rodney in the ninth inning Monday to give the Kansas City Royals a 4-3 win over the Tigers. Willie Bloomquist was 3-for-4 with a home run and a two-run triple for the Royals, who have three straight wins.
