MADISON, Wis., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wisconsin Power and Light Company (WPL), a subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corporation (NYSE: LNT) announced today that its Board of Directors has elected John O. Larsen to serve as President of WPL as of December 1, 2010.

Wisconsin Power and Light, a subsidiary of Alliant Energy, has announced that it will issue a credit to its electric customers through all billing cycles beginning with bills processed on December 10, 2007. The total credits issued will be approximately $4 million.

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has received a 68MW order consisting of 41 units of the V82-1.65MW turbine from US firm Wisconsin Power and Light Company. Vestas has also received an order for 182 units of the V82-1.65MW wind turbine from BP Alternative Energy North America.
