Joey Votto scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the seventh Wednesday and Cincinnati overcame a Houston home run barrage to down the Astros 6-5. All Houston's runs came on solo homers, which gave the Astros a 5-4 lead through five innings. Drew Stubbs then singled home Wladimir Balentien with the tying run in the sixth and the Reds took the lead in the seventh, thanks to a gift from Jeff Fulchino. Votto led off the seventh with a single and moved to third on a base hit by Brandon Phillips. Fulchino then came in to relieve Wesley Wright and promptly uncorked the wild pitch that brought home what turned out to be the winning run. Jared Burton (1-0) got the victory as the third of five Cincinnati pitchers.

Craig Tatum had four RBI and Wladimir Balentien hit a two-run homer Tuesday to lead the Cincinnati Reds to an 11-5 win over Pittsburgh. Paul Janish drove in two runs and scored two runs. Jonny Gomes was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs for Cincinnati, which has won eight of its last 10 games.

Ryan Duomit and Garrett Jones drove in three runs each Saturday, leading Pittsburgh to a 12-2 rout of Cincinnati, its fifth straight victory. One of three hits by Duomit was a two-run homer. Jones also had three hits, including a two-run double and Steve Pearce hit a two-run single.

Adam Rosales had three hits Sunday, including a two-run homer, leading the Cincinnati Reds to a 5-2 win over San Francisco. Rosales' homer, his fourth, gave Cincinnati a 4-0 lead with one out in the top of the fourth. Brandon Phillips hit a solo homer.

Bengie Molina's sixth-inning RBI single Saturday lifted San Francisco to a 4-2 win over Cincinnati. Molina had three hits, and the single broke a 2-2 tie with one out in the bottom of the sixth.
